Job summary

FIS is seeking an Experienced cloud architect to lead the design and delivery of enterprise-scale cloud solutions in Brazil. The role focuses on defining adoption frameworks, reference architectures, and best practices to drive modernization and multi-cloud strategies.

You will mentor junior engineers, own CI/CD and IaC implementations, and collaborate with business leaders to align cloud initiatives with strategic goals.

Responsibilities

Lead Cloud Architecture Design~

Architect complex, enterprise-scale cloud solutions that align with business goals and technical strategy. Define cloud adoption frameworks, reference architectures, and best practices.

Strategic Cloud Planning~

Drive cloud transformation initiatives, including migration planning, modernization, and multi-cloud strategies. Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend adoption paths.

Governance and Compliance Oversight~

Establish and enforce cloud governance policies, including cost management, security, and operational standards. Ensure compliance with regulatory frameworks.

Mentorship and Technical Leadership~

Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior and mid-level engineers. Lead code reviews, design sessions, and knowledge-sharing initiatives.

Advanced Automation and DevOps Integration~

Design and implement advanced CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure automation. Champion Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and GitOps practices across teams.

Performance and Cost Optimization~

Analyze and optimize cloud workloads for performance, scalability, and cost-efficiency. Implement monitoring and observability strategies using advanced tooling.

Incident Management and Root Cause Analysis~

Lead resolution of critical incidents and conduct post-mortems to prevent recurrence. Develop and refine incident response protocols.

Stakeholder Collaboration~

Collaborate with business leaders, product owners, and security teams to align cloud solutions with organizational objectives. Communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
