The Transportation Operations Management team is seeking a Regional Manager with leadership experience to oversee and execute strategic, cross-functional yard operations.

An ideal candidate is organized, possesses excellent program management skills, and has the ability to lead, mentor, analyze data, and make sound recommendations in an often ambiguous environment. A key responsibility of this role is to standardize and improve processes by analyzing and eliminating root causes of defects within current systems. Exceptional communication skills and the ability to influence change at both the local (facility) and network levels are essential.

Key Job Responsibilities

1. Lead operations focusing on efficiency, safety, and service quality, including resource planning based on forecasts, optimizing middle-mile operations, and maximizing container utilization.
2. Drive continuous improvement through data-driven decisions and cross-functional collaboration with sort centers and transportation teams.
3. Develop and monitor KPIs, generate management reports, and implement innovative yard management solutions.
4. Manage daily yard operations and resource allocation.
5. Enhance truck and container utilization performance.
6. Lead safety and quality initiatives.
7. Facilitate communication between fulfillment and transportation teams.
8. Develop analytics and process improvements, including creating dashboards using SQL.
9. Own safety procedures within the site yard and transshipment metrics and performance.
10. Collaborate closely with the ACES team to write procedures and set standards.

A Day in the Life

The Transportation Area Manager is responsible for transportation operations at the sort center, requiring proven ability to drive process improvements and meet internal goals while motivating others in a deadline-driven environment.

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor's degree; post-graduate degree preferred.
• Experience in logistics operations management.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Technology-driven mindset, including experience with SQL.
• Intermediate proficiency in English.
• Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, and Kaizen techniques.
• Experience working in logistics environments.
