That’s why Caterpillar offers recent graduates the chance to explore various areas within our IT Development Program (ITDP). This program allows you to enhance your technical and leadership skills through challenging assignments across multiple business areas.

The program lasts for three years, with projects typically lasting 6-18 months.

This structure helps you diversify your technical skills and build a strong professional network.

Skills Required:
Technical Analysis and Excellence:

Knowledge of technical analysis concepts, methodologies, and activities; ability to forecast technology trends and develop solutions to technical challenges. Basic knowledge of programming languages (Python, Java, C#, C), PowerBI, and SQL (PL/SQL, T-SQL, ANSI SQL). Demonstrated proactivity, initiative, and prior technical internship or work experience. Strong communication, teamwork, analytical, interpersonal, problem-solving, and customer service skills. Ability to troubleshoot and work independently or collaboratively.

Hardware and Systems Software Infrastructure:

Knowledge of computer architecture and systems programming; ability to design, build, and integrate IT hardware across platforms. Basic knowledge of Linux/Windows/Unix OSes, scripting (PowerShell or shell scripts), and proficiency with databases like Oracle, MS SQL Server, or Snowflake.

System Testing:

Ability to design, plan, and execute system and software testing strategies to ensure quality throughout the software development lifecycle.

Technical Writing/Documentation:

Ability to produce clear technical documents, manuals, reports, and standards.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Cybersecurity (graduation between December 2022 and December 2024).
  • Pre-Advanced English proficiency.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Postgraduate/MBA in a technical field.
  • Previous IT internship experience.
  • Ability to manage responsibilities and prioritize tasks independently.
