Job description

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Desenvolvedor Full Stack Java - Sênior based in Brazil.

This is a senior engineering opportunity focused on building a new fixed-income financial platform from the ground up. You will work across backend and frontend development while helping shape the architecture, engineering practices, and technical foundations of the product. A key aspect of the role is the use of Generative AI throughout the software development lifecycle to increase productivity, quality, and delivery speed. You will work with modern Java and Spring technologies alongside contemporary frontend frameworks and cloud-native practices. The role combines hands-on development with technical leadership, code quality, mentoring, and continuous improvement. You will have the opportunity to influence a complex greenfield product while experimenting with emerging AI-assisted development approaches.

Accountabilities:

• Design and develop backend components and services using modern Java and the Spring ecosystem.
• Build and evolve frontend functionality using modern frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue.js.
• Integrate Generative AI tools such as Gemini and Claude into daily development workflows to improve productivity, code quality, automation, and testing.
• Apply AI-assisted development practices throughout the software development lifecycle, including code generation, refactoring, documentation, and test creation.
• Develop robust unit and integration tests and ensure efficient execution within CI/CD pipelines.
• Apply TDD, BDD, Clean Code, SOLID principles, Design Patterns, and other engineering best practices.
• Review pull requests and provide technical guidance to ensure code quality, maintainability, security, and architectural consistency.
• Identify performance bottlenecks and proactively implement improvements across applications and services.
• Design and work with microservices, REST APIs, Domain-Driven Design, event-driven architectures, and scalable distributed systems.
• Work with relational and NoSQL databases and contribute to data-access and persistence strategies.
• Apply DevSecOps practices, cloud-native technologies, containerization, and automated delivery processes.
• Implement and support observability through logging, tracing, monitoring, metrics, alerting, and APM solutions.
• Apply secure development practices, including authentication and authorization mechanisms.
• Produce clear technical specifications and functional and technical documentation for delivered solutions.
• Mentor team members and promote the adoption of automation, AI-assisted development, and emerging technologies.
• Collaborate with Tech Leads, Functional Analysts, Product teams, and fellow engineers to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.

Requirements:

• Senior-level expertise in modern Java and strong experience with the Spring ecosystem, including Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Data JPA, and Spring Security.
• Solid frontend development experience with React, Angular, or Vue.js, as well as HTML5, CSS3, TypeScript, and RESTful API consumption.
• Demonstrated daily use of Generative AI tools such as Gemini, Claude, GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, or similar technologies for code generation, refactoring, automation, and testing.
• Strong experience with software quality practices, including TDD, BDD, unit testing, integration testing, static code analysis, and rigorous code reviews.
• Familiarity with testing technologies such as JUnit, Mockito, Jest, Cypress, or equivalent tools.
• Strong understanding of Clean Code, SOLID principles, Design Patterns, and maintainable software engineering practices.
• Experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, or Oracle, together with knowledge of NoSQL databases.
• Strong architectural experience with microservices, Domain-Driven Design, Event-Driven Architecture, REST APIs, and distributed systems.
• Experience with DevSecOps practices, cloud environments such as AWS or GCP, CI/CD pipelines, Docker, and Kubernetes.
• Knowledge of observability practices and tools, including ELK, Google Cloud Logging, OpenTelemetry, Jaeger, Zipkin, Datadog, Grafana, Google Cloud Monitoring, or New Relic.
• Understanding of secure application development, authentication, and authorization technologies such as Okta, OAuth 2.0, JWT, and OpenID Connect.
• Experience or familiarity with financial services, particularly fixed-income and credit products and related business processes, is desirable.
• Strong mentoring and knowledge-sharing skills, with the ability to support the technical development of other engineers.
• Results-oriented mindset with a strong commitment to delivery quality, reliability, and operational excellence.
• Curiosity and enthusiasm for emerging technologies, particularly Generative AI and AI-assisted software engineering.
