In this role, you'll collaborate with product managers, build data pipelines, and deliver insights to drive data-driven decisions. As a Data Scientist at Stord, you'll dive into exciting challenges like demand forecasting and pricing analytics, while also shaping our key performance indicators and streamlining workflows. You'll have the chance to prototype innovative internal and external tools, build robust data pipelines, and prepare data for insightful analysis. Joining our collaborative and impactful small team, you'll play a vital role in making Stord an even more data-driven powerhouse!
Engage with business stakeholders to understand their requirements and implement solutions, ranging from process improvements to new internal tools.
Identify opportunities to implement new forecasting models to increase the operational efficiency of our warehouse and shipping partners.
Set up data pipelines to seamlessly ingest data and transform it into a usable format for analysis.
Create dashboards that vividly demonstrate adoption, ROI, and progress toward our organizational objectives.
Deliver crucial business insights to assist with data-driven decisions and present findings clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Bachelor’s Degree in a quantitative field such as Industrial & Systems Engineering, Business, Supply Chain, Statistics, Decisions Sciences, Finance & Accounting, or Computer Science.
3+ years of experience as a Data Scientist, Data Analyst, or in a similar role, ideally with a background in Supply Chain or Logistics.
A strong understanding of machine learning models and experience building data pipelines.
Proficiency in SQL and Python, solid Excel skills, and experience with at least one cloud development platform (AWS, GCP, Azure).
Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and collaborate effectively with engineers and product managers.
A proactive, team-oriented mindset with a can-do attitude.
Master's Degree in Data Science, Analytics, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
Familiarity with PostgreSQL, dbt, and CI/CD processes for data transformation.
Experience with BI tools like Tableau or similar platforms.
Prior experience in a startup environment and/or the supply chain industry.
