Azumo is seeking a highly motivated Big Data Engineer for a fully remote position based in Latin America.

This role offers the opportunity to collaborate with a growing team of bright engineering minds in big data computing. The ideal candidate will enjoy designing and developing scalable, high-performance big data infrastructure using frameworks such as Spark, Kafka, Snowflake, or similar, on premise and in the cloud. Experience in building data pipelines, data services, data warehouses, BI, and ML platforms is essential.

Requirements

The Data Engineer will be based remotely. Compensation will be commensurate with experience and potential.

Basic Qualifications:

• BS or Master’s degree in Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent experience
• 5+ years of experience in data management and related responsibilities
• Deep expertise in designing and building data warehouses and big data analytics systems
• Practical experience in manipulating, analyzing, and visualizing data
• Self-driven, motivated, with a strong work ethic and problem-solving passion

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with cloud-based managed services like Airflow, Glue, Elastic Stack, Redshift, Snowflake, BigQuery, Azure SQL, EMR, Databricks, Qubole, or similar
• Experience with notebooks using Jupyter, Google Colab, or similar tools
