Reo Group is seeking a Senior Functional Consultant to own a D365 CE workstream, guiding requirements, configuration and delivery throughout the project lifecycle. You will collaborate with process owners and delivery teams to ensure successful implementations.

You will mentor colleagues and engage with architects, developers and business leads to drive outcomes. The role emphasizes ongoing practice growth with Power Platform, Copilot and automation across engagements.

Role Overview

This Senior Functional Consultant opportunity is for someone who wants real responsibility for how Dynamics 365 Customer Engagement is put to work. You will own a defined functional workstream, make informed configuration choices and see the solution through implementation, rather than hand off your contribution after requirements are agreed. Your work will help customers replace inefficient processes with ways of working that their teams can use and maintain.

You will be the functional point of contact for customer process owners and business leads, bringing structure to early conversations and clarity to decisions throughout the project. Alongside a project manager, you will plan the work of other consultants and coordinate with architects and developers when a requirement needs input outside your specialty. There are no formal direct reports, but you will be expected to guide colleagues and remain accountable for the workstream you lead.

The wider Microsoft practice has ongoing demand for its services and is expanding the ways it uses Power Platform, Copilot and automation. You will have room to contribute ideas, share lessons from customer projects and develop your own specialist capability while working with colleagues across the broader technology business.

Responsibilities

• Own a D365 CE functional workstream, from initial requirement discussions to customer acceptance and release.
• Work with process owners to identify the underlying operational issue, agree priorities and document decisions.
• Develop user stories and functional detail that give delivery colleagues a clear basis for their work.
• Configure CE applications and agree when Power Platform extensions or specialist input are appropriate.
• Plan and allocate consulting activities with the project manager, keeping dependencies and commitments visible.
• Work through design questions with architects and developers to arrive at workable, supportable outcomes.
• Guide customers and project teams through functional testing, training, transition and early adoption.
• Spot delivery obstacles early, communicate their impact and secure timely decisions from the right people.
• Coach colleagues through functional challenges and contribute practical knowledge to the consulting team.
• Identify sensible uses of automation and AI tools that improve a customer process or an internal delivery task.

Candidate Profile

You have delivered D365 CE implementations in a senior functional capacity. You are comfortable eliciting requirements, turning them into actionable work and configuring CE applications yourself. Your experience covers the major stages of a customer project, including testing and release, and you can distinguish the work you can own from areas where another specialist should be involved. Experience with Power Platform in support of CE requirements is relevant to this environment.

You can lead a customer conversation without relying on technical jargon and know how to obtain agreement. You are organised enough to direct a substantial piece of delivery, set clear expectations with a project manager and keep customers informed about decisions, constraints and emerging issues. You can balance practical business needs and what the system and delivery team can realistically provide.

You enjoy taking responsibility while working closely with other consultants, sharing your knowledge and asking for specialist help when it is needed. Extensive Dynamics 365 Field Service implementation experience is especially welcome, but is not essential. Practical use of Copilot or AI-assisted automation in a customer or consulting setting would also be an advantage. A relevant tertiary qualification or Microsoft certification would also be welcomed.

You will join a sizeable, collaborative Microsoft consulting environment with work across customer projects and access to specialists in other technology disciplines. The practice values clear commitments, early communication when something needs attention and sharing expertise so that teams can deliver consistently. Professional development is discussed regularly, with individuals encouraged to set goals and pursue suitable project experience.
