Job summary

K2 Recruit Pte Ltd is seeking a Cook (Western Cook) in Brazil's Norte region to prepare and present high-quality dishes within the Western kitchen. You will support the Head Chef and Sous Chef in menu development and daily operations.

The role involves overseeing a kitchen section, managing food preparation, cost control and inventory, and ensuring safe operation of equipment. Weekend and public holiday shifts are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years in the service industry.
• Proven passion for the F&B industry and cooking.
• Able to multitask and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
• Willing to work shifts, including weekends and public holidays.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, cook and present high-quality dishes in the Western cook section.
• Assist Head Chef and Sous Chef with menu items, recipes and dish development.
• Oversee a kitchen section and manage food preparation within that area.
• Assist with cost control and inventory management.
• Handle kitchen equipment safely and effectively.
• Provide daily operational support and direction in the kitchen.

Job Description:

• Preparing, cooking and presenting high quality dishes within the specialty section.
• Assisting the Head Chef and Sous Chef in creating menu items, recipes and developing dishes.
• Overseeing a section of the kitchen and preparing food within that section.
• Assisting with the management to maintain the food costs and inventory.
• To handle kitchen appliances and equipment safety and effectively
• Provides functional assistance and direction to the kitchen daily operations
• Other ad-hoc duties as requested

Qualifications:

• At least 2 years’ experience in the service industry
• Passion for F&B industry with proven experience in cooking
• Able to multitask -and manage change in a fast-paced environment
• Willingness to engage in shift work, which includes work on weekends and PH
