Responsibilities include hiring and training kitchen staff, managing inventories and costs, and cooperating with FOH to maintain high presentation and service levels while keeping a clean, sanitary work environment.

• Hire and train kitchen staff on food handling and equipment safety.
• Create and update menus based on ingredient pricing and seasonality.
• Set and maintain standards for food quality and dish presentation.
• Manage ingredients and supplies inventory.
• Oversee kitchen finances, including budget and food and labor costs.
• Train FOH staff on menu and presentation details.
• Ensure compliance with health, food safety and sanitation procedures.
• Cook the exact number of items ordered, handling multiple orders simultaneously.
• Wash, cut and prepare foods designated for cooking.
• Maintain sanitation and safety in work areas.
• Assist in the preparation of food.
• Clean and sanitize kitchen areas and dispose of waste.
• Clear and clean tables and trays.
• Refill condiments and other supplies at tables and in serving areas.
• Unpack and store supplies in refrigerators, cupboards and storage areas.

• Cook the exact number of items ordered by each customer, working on several different orders simultaneously.
