Most schools were designed for a world that no longer exists. Akron was designed for the one that's coming.
We are a brand new school, in Pinheiros, São Paulo, built from the ground up around a single conviction: that the most valuable thing a school can give a student isn't knowledge. It's the ability to keep learning, unlearning, and relearning for the rest of their lives. We are not reforming a system. We are starting with a blank page.
Our curriculum is anchored in interdisciplinary learning and developmental neuroscience. Our language of instruction is English. Our students are 2 to 18 years old. Our campus is 11,000 m² currently under construction. And our team is being assembled now, person by person, with intention.
Everything we build here comes back to our compass:
- Know Yourself Deeply, because no one can lead their own learning without first understanding how they think, feel, and grow.
- Engage the World Fully, because learning earns its meaning through real problems, authentic inquiry, and genuine encounter with different cultures and people.
- Transform Both, because we measure success not by what students know, but by what they do with it: knowledge placed in service of something beyond themselves.
We are looking for educators who are restless in the best sense of the word. People who have seen how school can be done differently and chose not to look away. People who know that character, curiosity, and purpose are not soft skills.
If you've ever thought "I wish I could build a school the right way, from the very beginning" this is that moment.
Our compass: Know yourself deeply. Engage the world fully. Transform both.
What guides us:
- Curiosity: every great learning journey begins with a better question
- Excellence: rigorous, generous, and never finished
- Humanity: relationships built on respect, empathy, and genuine care
- Courage: to try, to fail, and to try again with more clarity
- Grit: staying the course when the work is hard and the outcome matters
- Purpose: knowledge in service of people, not the other way around
Akron is a rare opportunity: to be present at the beginning, to help shape what this school becomes, and to do the most meaningful work of your career.
We'd love to meet you.
