Job summary

Ad Astra Consultants in Brazil seeks a seasoned Chief Accountant to oversee statutory reporting, closing processes, and tax compliance. You will lead manufacturing cost accounting for the Manaus motorcycle factory and parts warehouse, ensuring accurate inventory controls and COGS.

You will manage external audits, strengthen internal controls, and develop the accounting and cost teams while collaborating with cross-functional groups and our India HQ.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting and an active CRC registration.
• 7–10 years of accounting experience with leadership and statutory reporting.
• Strong knowledge of BR GAAP, CPCs/IFRS, SPED obligations, manufacturing accounting, and inventory controls.
• Experience with external audits, advanced Excel, and ERP systems; TOTVS/Protheus preferred.
• Experience in industrial, distribution, or multinational companies; revenue above BRL 300 million is desirable.
• Advanced English, with strong communication, leadership, analytical, and hands-on execution skills.

• Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual closing, reconciliations, provisions, fixed assets, leases, and intercompany accounting.
• Manage statutory filings (ECD/ECF/SPED) and tax obligations (IRPJ/CSLL, transfer pricing).
• Oversee cost accounting, inventory valuation, stock counts, and COGS for Manaus factory and warehouse.
• Lead external audits and support internal audits, strengthening financial controls.
• Develop accounting and cost teams, collaborating with cross-functional departments and India HQ.
