Job summary

Zain Kuwait in Bahrain is seeking a seasoned Procurement Manager to lead the sourcing of goods and services and manage the full lifecycle of supplier contracts. You will align procurement with logistics and contract management to deliver compliant, cost-effective solutions in real time.

You will standardize procurement activities, negotiate terms, maintain supplier records, monitor performance and renewals, and ensure documentation meets company policies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field with exposure to procurement.
• Minimum 3-5 years of purchasing experience, preferably in telecom.
• Strong knowledge of Bahrain market and procurement regulations.

Responsibilities

About the Role

To lead the sourcing of goods and services while overseeing the full lifecycle of supplier contracts. This role ensures seamless integration between procurement, logistics, and contract management to deliver compliant, cost effective solutions that meet departmental demands in real-time.

What We Need From You

Lead efforts to competitively procure all goods and services for the company.

• Maintaining an understanding of marketplace trends and pricing, market forces, cost trends, and supplier technology roadmaps.
• Ensure standardization in all procurement activities in accordance with the company’s Sourcing and Procurement Policies.
• Responsible for turnkey procurement cycle from supplier’s offers comparison, negotiation, to placing purchase orders
• Responsible for coordinating with requestor departments to ensure documentation provided in accordance with Procurement Sourcing Policies and Process.
• Ensure Purchase Orders are processed in accordance with agreed KPIs
• Ensure requestor departments are made aware of progress and delivery times
• Maintain records of all procurement cycle documentation
• Maintain up-to-date supplier database
• Draft, evaluate, and negotiate contract terms and conditions to minimize risk and maximize value.
• Ensure standardization in all procurement and contracting activities in accordance with the company’s Sourcing and Procurement Policies.
• Maintain comprehensive records of the procurement cycle, including an organized repository of all active and archived supplier contracts.
• Maintain an up-to-date supplier database and conduct periodic performance reviews to ensure contract compliance.
• Monitor contract performance, renewals, and expiry dates to ensure timely action and continuous service delivery. Support internal and external audit requirements by ensuring full compliance and proper documentation of procurement and contracting activities.
• Perform any other related duties that may be required or assigned.
