Job summary

Nass Group & Corporation in Bahrain seeks a Welding Foreman to supervise welding teams at fabrication shops and on project sites, ensuring safety, quality, and on-time completion according to approved drawings and procedures.

You will plan daily activities, coordinate with engineers and QA/QC, monitor productivity and tool use, conduct toolbox talks, maintain records, and verify certifications while keeping work areas clean and compliant.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in welding and fabrication with supervisory experience.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and welding symbols.
• Experience in industrial projects or structural steel is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and lead welders, fabricators, and helpers on site.
• Plan, assign, and monitor daily welding activities to reach targets.
• Ensure welding work follows drawings, specs and procedures.
• Coordinate with engineers, supervisors, QA/QC, and site management for smooth execution.
• Monitor productivity, workmanship and material usage.
• Inspect progress and ensure quality and safety requirements are met.
• Maintain and secure welding machines, tools, and equipment.
• Conduct toolbox talks and enforce HSE policies.
• Identify and resolve welding-related issues and challenges.
• Maintain daily manpower allocation, attendance and progress records.
• Verify welder qualifications and certifications where required.
• Assist in material planning and coordinate fabrication/installation.
• Ensure work areas remain clean and safe.

Job description

The Welding Foreman is responsible for supervising and coordinating welding activities at fabrication shops and project sites. The role ensures that all welding work is completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with approved procedures, project specifications, quality standards, and schedules.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and lead welders, fabricators, and welding helpers on site.
• Plan, assign, and monitor daily welding activities to achieve project targets.
• Ensure welding work is performed according to approved drawings, specifications, and welding procedures.
• Coordinate with Engineers, Supervisors, QA/QC Inspectors, and Site Management to ensure smooth project execution.
• Monitor productivity, workmanship, and material utilization.
• Inspect work progress and ensure compliance with quality and safety requirements.
• Ensure proper use, maintenance, and storage of welding machines, tools, and equipment.
• Conduct toolbox talks and enforce company HSE policies and procedures.
• Identify and resolve welding-related issues and technical challenges.
• Maintain daily manpower allocation, attendance, and progress records.
• Verify that all welders possess valid qualifications and certifications where required.
• Assist in material planning and coordinate fabrication and installation activities.
• Ensure work areas are maintained in a clean and safe condition.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of experience in welding and fabrication works, including supervisory experience.
• Strong knowledge of welding processes such as SMAW, GTAW, GMAW, FCAW, and SAW.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, isometric drawings, and welding symbols.
• Experience in structural steel, piping, tanks, pressure vessels, or industrial projects is preferred.
• Good leadership and team management skills.
• Familiarity with quality standards, welding procedures, and inspection requirements.
