Job summary

Zain is seeking a Senior .NET Developer to lead design, development and maintenance of robust .NET-based systems across desktop applications, services, APIs and integrations. You will work with stakeholders, architects, and cross-functional teams to drive end-to-end delivery, focusing on performance, security, and reliability.

The role requires 5+ years in .NET (C#) including WCF/REST, IIS, and high-availability API design, with strong collaboration and mentoring of other developers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
• 5+ years hands-on experience with .NET (C#), including desktop apps, Windows services, and ASP.NET.
• Experience with WCF and RESTful services.
• Experience designing load-balanced, fault-tolerant APIs.
• Experience with Git and collaborative development workflows.
• Strong requirements gathering, impact analysis, and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain .NET applications including desktop, console, Windows services, and web-based solutions.
• Lead the development and integration of high-availability APIs and backend services.
• Implement secure and scalable REST and WCF services.
• Design and deploy applications on IIS with performance tuning and load balancing.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and refine requirements.
• Translate business needs into functional and technical specs.
• Perform impact analysis, scoping, and solution design.
• Troubleshoot issues, root cause analysis, and fixes.
• Optimize performance of code, queries, and behavior.
• Lead planning and estimation sessions; ensure timely delivery.
• Work with Git and collaborative workflows; partner with DevOps for deployments.
• Engage QA for testing, validation, and bug fixes.
• Stay updated on trends and recommend improvements.
