Job summary

Zain Bahrain is seeking a Senior .NET Developer to lead design, development, and maintenance of robust software solutions across desktop, services, APIs, and integrations. You will deliver scalable, secure .NET systems and collaborate with architects, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to drive end-to-end delivery.

The role emphasizes performance, reliability, and maintainability, with guidance to optimize code, database queries, and deployments in a telecom context.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Programming or related field.
• 5+ years hands-on experience with .NET (C#) including desktop apps, Windows services, and ASP.NET.
• Telecom industry experience is a plus.
• Strong experience with console apps, libraries, and SOA.
• Experience with WCF, RESTful services, and high-availability APIs.
• Experience integrating third-party services and protocols (TCP/IP, WebSockets).
• Experience with Git and collaborative workflows.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain .NET applications including desktop, web, and services.
• Lead development and integration of high-availability APIs and backend services.
• Implement secure and scalable REST and WCF services.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and refine requirements.
• Perform analysis, design, and solution planning; conduct root-cause analysis.
• Lead planning and estimation sessions; ensure timely delivery; mentor other developers.
• Collaborate with DevOps for deployments and environment readiness; work with QA for testing.
