Job summary

Grant Thornton Bahrain is seeking a Senior Auditor - External Audit to lead and manage external audit engagements from planning through completion, ensuring quality and timely delivery.

The ideal candidate will hold CA/ACCA or a related qualification, bring at least 5 years of audit experience, strong IFRS/GAAP knowledge, and excellent communication and teamwork skills, with mentoring responsibilities and opportunities to contribute to business development.

Qualifications

• CA/ACCA or a related qualification.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in audit & assurance.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and GAAP.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple engagements and work in a team.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skill.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage external audit engagements from planning to completion.
• Develop and maintain client relationships with excellent service.
• Review financial statements and audit reports for accuracy.
• Identify and communicate risks to audit team and clients.
• Mentor junior staff and provide guidance.
• Stay current with accounting and auditing standards.
• Participate in business development, including networking and proposals.
• Assist with ad-hoc projects as needed by senior management.
