Job summary

Grant Thornton Abdulaal Bahrain is seeking a Senior Auditor for External Audit to lead engagements from planning through completion in Bahrain. You will guide teams, review financial statements, and ensure high quality audits while building strong client relationships.

The role requires a Chartered Accountant/ACCA or equivalent qualification with 5+ years in audit and assurance, and solid IFRS/GAAP knowledge. Excellent communication and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in audit & assurance.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and GAAP.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work well in a team and manage multiple engagements simultaneously.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skill.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage external audit engagements, including planning, execution, and completion.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, providing excellent customer service and addressing any concerns or issues.
• Review and analyze financial statements and audit reports for accuracy and completeness.
• Identify and communicate any potential risks or issues to the audit team and clients.
• Train and mentor junior staff, providing guidance and support to help them develop their skills and knowledge.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and changes in accounting and auditing standards.
• Participate in business development activities, including networking and proposal writing.
• Assist with other ad-hoc projects and tasks as assigned by senior management.
