Job summary

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage external audit engagements, including planning, execution and completion.
• Develop and maintain strong client relationships, providing excellent customer service.
• Review and analyze financial statements and audit reports for accuracy and completeness.
• Identify and communicate risks or issues to the audit team and clients.
• Train and mentor junior staff, guiding their development.
• Stay up-to-date with accounting/auditing standards and industry trends.
• Participate in business development activities, including networking and proposals.
• Assist with other ad-hoc projects and tasks as assigned by senior management.

Grant Thornton Abdulaal is seeking a highly motivated and experienced audit senior to join our dynamic team. As an auditor, you will play a key role in leading and managing the audit process for a variety of clients across different industries.

Key responsibilities:

• Lead and manage external audit engagements, including planning, execution, and completion
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, providing excellent customer service and addressing any concerns or issues
• Review and analyze financial statements and audit reports for accuracy and completeness
• Identify and communicate any potential risks or issues to the audit team and clients
• Train and mentor junior staff, providing guidance and support to help them develop their skills and knowledge
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and changes in accounting and auditing standards
• Participate in business development activities, including networking and proposal writing
• Assist with other ad-hoc projects and tasks as assigned by senior management

Qualifications & skills:

• CA/ACCA or a related qualification
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in audit and assurance, preferably in a reputed public accounting firm
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and GAAP
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work well in a team and manage multiple engagements simultaneously
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and accounting software
