Job summary

Grant Thornton Bahrain is seeking a Senior Auditor - External Audit to lead and manage external audit engagements from planning through completion, ensuring quality and timely delivery.

The ideal candidate will hold CA/ACCA or a related qualification, bring at least 5 years of audit experience, strong IFRS/GAAP knowledge, and excellent communication and teamwork skills, with mentoring responsibilities and opportunities to contribute to business development.

Qualifications

• CA/ACCA or a related qualification.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in audit & assurance.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and GAAP.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage external audit engagements from planning to completion.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage external audit engagements, including planning, execution, and completion
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, providing excellent customer service and addressing any concerns or issues
• Review and analyze financial statements and audit reports for accuracy and completeness
• Identify and communicate any potential risks or issues to the audit team and clients
• Train and mentor junior staff, providing guidance and support to help them develop their skills and knowledge
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and changes in accounting and auditing standards
• Participate in business development activities, including networking and proposal writing
• Assist with other ad-hoc projects and tasks as assigned by senior management.

Qualifications & Skills
