About the Role
The Bahrain Tender Board (BTB) operates a suite of critical digital platforms that support national procurement activities, including the eTendering System, Tender Management System (TMS), e-Meeting System, and the BTB official website.
BTB is engaging two full‑time senior developers to advance system capabilities, enable seamless integration across platforms, digitalise and automate processes using the latest technology, and enhance reports and KPI dashboards.
Responsibilities
- TMS Enhancement & Operational Support
- Fixes, updates, performance optimisation, and report creation.
- Adding quick workflows to current modules.
- Data Cleaning and migration (Stage1)
- Data verification and cleaning across BTB systems.
- Digitalisation of internal and external processes to enhance system stability and operational efficiency.
- Digitalisation of legal workflows, including supplier grievances.
- Digitalisation of purchasing authorities' violations.
- Activation of direct purchase requests in the eTendering system.
- Data validation and streamlining of system reporting section.
- Enhancement of procurement plans and SME‑related processes.
- Streamlining and digitising applicable e‑forms.
- Feasibility of publishing an RSS API for published tenders and external notifications.
- Developing Middleware Architecture (API‑Based)
- External integrations: Ministry of Industry & Commerce (MOIC), Ministry of Labour (MOL), Central Bank of Bahrain (CBB).
- Internal integration: Integrate E‑Tendering, TMS, Website, and e‑Meeting system to implement quick‑win solutions and prevent data duplication.
- Cybersecurity compliance
- Implementation of NCSC requirements and security findings.
- Vulnerability assessments and remediation.
- AI and system readiness for reporting
- Data readiness for AI validation and anomaly detection.
- Process improvement and reporting.
- Dashboards & Reporting
- Enhancement of executive dashboards and KPIs.
- Improved analytical reporting for governance and finance.
- Provision of KPIs and analytic reports for purchasing authorities.
Qualifications
- Specialised in .NET Core and full‑stack development methodologies.
- Experience designing, implementing, and sustaining enterprise‑grade systems aligned with organisational strategic objectives.
- Strong collaboration skills with stakeholders to analyse, design, and implement solutions.
- Knowledge of API‑based architecture and integration with external data sources.
- Familiarity with cybersecurity best practices, including NCSC standards.
- Experience developing dashboards, KPI reports, and data visualisation tools.
