Job summary

AHK Contracting in Manama, Bahrain is seeking a Civil Engineering/QS professional to prepare cost estimates, BOQs, and cost plans from drawings. You will perform quantity take-offs and measurements for civil works, with basic MEP quantities, and analyze pricing and subcontractor bids.

The role requires 3–7 years of QS experience, a relevant bachelor’s degree, strong MS Excel skills, and fluency in English and Hindi.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, quantity surveying or related field.
• 3–7 years of experience in QS or similar role.
• Good knowledge of civil construction and basic MEP quantities.
• Good command of English and Hindi, both spoken and written.
• Advanced MS Excel and familiarity with take-off software.

Job Description: Prepare accurate cost estimates, Bills of Quantities (BOQ), and cost plans based on architectural and structural drawings.
Prepare quantity take-offs and measurements for civil works, with basic understanding of MEP quantities.
Analyze material pricing, labour rates, and subcontractor quotations to support accurate project costing.
Assist in procurement activities, vendor negotiations, and commercial evaluations.
Assist in administering main contracts and subcontracts, with good understanding of GCC contract conditions.
Conduct site measurements and prepare valuations for completed works and interim payment applications.
Assess and price variations, change orders, and site instructions.
Monitor project costs, expenditures, and cost reconciliation, including preparation of cash flow forecasts.
Prepare monthly commercial reports, final accounts, and claim assessments for management review.
Read and interpret architectural, structural, and MEP drawings and specifications to derive accurate quantities.
Use quantity take-off and measurement software, along with MS Excel.

Job Specification:
