Responsibilities
- Manage the merchant-acquiring product roadmap and execute the product strategy.
- Monitor product performance and identify growth opportunities.
- Coordinate product development, market introduction and product launches.
- Identify and target potential merchants within strategic sectors and market segments.
- Develop sales initiatives to meet revenue, sales and business targets.
- Conduct market research and competitive analysis.
- Build and manage the sales pipeline from lead generation through deal closure.
- Conduct regular business reviews with major merchant accounts.
- Identify upselling opportunities and resolve merchant concerns.
- Track revenue, commission rates, market share and other sales metrics.
- Prepare daily, weekly and monthly performance reports.
- Lead contract negotiations and secure favourable commercial terms.
- Coordinate with legal and compliance teams to meet regulatory and policy requirements.
- Build strong relationships with merchants, partners and other stakeholders.
- Understand merchant needs and provide consultative payment solutions.
- Collaborate with product development, marketing and other internal teams.
- Establish team goals and KPIs.
- Coach and develop team members.
- Manage team performance.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Banking, Finance, Accounting or a related discipline.
- Master’s degree in a related discipline is preferred.
- At least 3 to 4 years of practical experience in banking, merchant acquiring or a similar function.

- Proven sales performance and business-development experience.
- Strong understanding of the payment ecosystem.
- Knowledge of merchant acquiring, card networks and payment technologies.
- Strong communication, negotiation and relationship-management skills.
- Ability to manage sales pipelines and close commercial deals.

- Understanding of regulatory, compliance and internal policy requirements.
