Job summary

Raffles Al Areen Palace Bahrain is seeking a professional waiter/waitress to join our luxury dining team. You will uphold impeccable service standards, inform guests about the menu and daily specials, and maintain cleanliness and safety in all outlets.

Ideal candidates bring 1–2 years in a high-end hotel, fluent English with Arabic as an additional language, and a keen eye for detail. This on-site position offers growth within a prestigious property and Accor worldwide discounts.

Qualifications

• Have completed secondary school education.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
• Hospitality related Degree or Diploma.
• Minimum of 1-2 years’ experience as a waiter/waitress in a five star hotel.
• Advanced levels of Business English.
• Proficiency in a second language such as Arabic.
• Excellent food & beverage knowledge.
• The ability to work well under pressure.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Previous experience in Middle East.
• Experienced in Fire & Life safety system.

Responsibilities

• Ensure correct uniform standards are followed at all times.
• Ensure guests experience an enjoyable, expertly served beverage/dining experience by following service sequence.
• Maintain knowledge of the restaurant menu & daily specials.
• Familiar with beverage service, stemware, and garnishes.
• Anticipate and service guests' requirements at all times.
• Prepare the outlet ready for service per SOP or manager’s instructions.
• Keep service stations cleared & restocked during service.
• Serve and clear food and beverage items professionally.
• Present menus and explain items and specials.
• Acknowledge guest satisfaction and resolve issues with manager guidance.
• Report accidents or complaints promptly to a manager.
• Check expiration dates and store per HACCP standards daily.
• Respond properly in emergencies or safety situations.
• Break down buffets, displays or side stations when needed.
• Attend briefings & training sessions as instructed by Operations Manager, F&B.
• Handle cash and credit card procedures per accounting guidelines.
• Identify potential problems and ask for help before breakdown occurs.
• Perform duties and special projects as requested by management across departments.
