Job summary

Bank ABC, based in Bahrain, seeks an IFRS9 & ECL Reporting Officer in the Group Risk Management Department. The role focuses on running the Moodys IFRS9 RCO across environments for multiple units, maintaining the ECL framework in line with internal policies and regulations.

Strong SQL, SAS, R, Python, and advanced Excel skills are essential. A banking/finance background and 2–5 years of relevant experience are required to support analytics, policy development, and risk reporting.

Qualifications

• 2-5 years' experience in a similar function in a large financial institution.
• Graduated with banking & finance background.
• High level of data handling skills.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS9 regulations.

Responsibilities

• Generate IFRS9 ECL provision results quarterly using Moodys RCO across environments/units.
• Engage with subsidiaries to collect data and verify accuracy.
• Generate analytical ECL reports from Strategic System.
• Define and validate RCO integration with risk systems.
• Maintain internal IFRS9 standards, policies, and rules and assess policy changes.
