Responsibilities

• Regulatory reviews: Review risk management frameworks in alignment with regulatory rulebook mandates
• Framework deep-dives: Drive assignments covering ICAAP, capital adequacy, recovery and resolution planning, credit risk and stress testing frameworks
• Client/delivery management: Manage client relationships, lead delivery teams and generate benchmarks and recommendations for board review
• RFP support: Contribute technical methodology inputs to drive financial sector proposals

Job description

As part of the ongoing expansion of our financial risk advisory offering, we are seeking a high-calibre risk management specialist with a proven track record in professional consulting to lead high-profile governance, risk and compliance assignments for leading regional banks and insurance institutions. If you are an expert in regulatory frameworks – particularly the Central Bank of Bahrain (CBB) rulebook – and want to drive impactful independent reviews, we’d like to speak to you.

Key responsibilities:

• Regulatory reviews: Review risk management frameworks in strict alignment with regulatory rulebook mandates
• Framework deep-dives: Drive complex assignments covering ICAAP, capital adequacy, recovery and resolution planning, credit risk and operational/stress testing frameworks
• Client/delivery management: Manage client relationships, lead delivery teams and generate technical benchmarks and recommendations against global leading practice for board-level review
• RFP support: Contribute technical methodology inputs to drive financial sector proposals

Candidate requirements:

• Consulting background: At least 5–8 years of experience with a ‘Big 4’ or top-tier professional services firm (risk advisory/financial services regulatory functions)
• Framework expertise: Deep technical knowledge of Basel III/IV, COSO ERM, ICAAP/ILAAP and regional regulatory frameworks – CBB expertise strongly preferred
• Location: Currently based in Bahrain or the GCC or willing to relocate
• Certifications: Professional credentials such as FRM (GARP), PRM (PRMIA) or equivalent highly advantageous
