Job summary

Accor is seeking a motivated Housekeeping Supervisor in Bahrain to oversee daily activities of room attendants, house attendants, and public areas, ensuring all tasks meet brand standards and guest satisfaction targets.

You will lead, coach and evaluate the housekeeping team, coordinate schedules, manage stock and safety procedures, and report on inventory. Strong English skills are required.

Qualifications

• Experience supervising hotel housekeeping teams.
• Proven ability to maintain cleanliness to brand standards.
• Strong communication and English language skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily activities of Room Attendants, House Attendants and Public Area Attendants.
• Assign daily work schedules and room allocations according to occupancy and requirements.
• Ensure guest rooms, corridors and public areas meet brand standards and are maintained.
• Handle Lost & Found items following hotel procedures.
• Monitor Do Not Disturb rooms and follow up appropriately.
• Respond to guest requests and complaints promptly and professionally.
• Lead, coach and develop the housekeeping team and assist with performance reviews.
• Control usage of cleaning supplies, amenities, linen, and equipment; monitor inventories.
• Ensure equipment is maintained and used safely.
• Complete daily inspection and discrepancy reports and shift handovers.

Job Description

• Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of Room Attendants, House Attendants, Public Area Attendants
• Assign daily work schedules, room allocations, and special projects according to occupancy levels and operational requirements.
• Ensure all guest rooms, corridors, public areas, and service areas are cleaned and maintained according to brand standards.
• Ensure proper handling and reporting of Lost  Found items according to hotel procedures.
• Monitor DND (Do Not Disturb) rooms and ensure appropriate follow-up procedures are followed.
• Respond promptly and professionally to guest requests, concerns, and complaints
• Lead, motivate, coach, and support the housekeeping team to achieve departmental objectives. Assist with performance evaluations and development plans
• Control and monitor the usage of cleaning supplies, guest amenities, linen, uniforms, and equipment.
• Assist with monthly inventories of linen, guest supplies, and housekeeping materials
• Monitor stock levels and report shortages promptly
• Ensure housekeeping equipment is maintained and used safely and correctly
• Complete daily inspection reports, discrepancy reports, and shift handovers

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of housekeeping operations and hotel standards.
• Excellent leadership and team management skills.
• Strong attention to detail and quality control.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to handle guest complaints professionally.
• Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, equipment, and safety procedures.
• Inventory and stock management skills.
• Proficiency in hotel systems (PMS) and Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
• Good command of English; additional languages are an advantage
