Job summary

Hannover Re Group is seeking a senior leader to head and mentor a facultative underwriting team, focusing on MENA and SEA regions. You will steer portfolio strategy, collaborate with senior management, and ensure high underwriting standards using AI-enabled tools like Copilot.

You will deepen client and broker relationships, govern processes across the Hannover Re Group, and contribute to long-term market positioning in a dynamic, international environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, finance, or business administration; master's is an advantage.
• ACII or FCII qualification is preferred.
• 8–12 years in insurance or reinsurance, ideally in a P&C facultative underwriting managerial role; 3+ years in management or leadership potential.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a facultative underwriting team with clear objectives.
• Develop and manage client and broker relationships across MENA & SEA.
• Contribute to portfolio strategy and business planning with senior management.
• Underwrite facultative property risks at a senior level with technical excellence.
• Leverage digital/AI-enabled tools to improve underwriting quality and decision-making.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders across Hannover Re Group for governance.
