Job summary

Hannover Re Bahrain's General Retakaful Facultative team seeks an Associate Underwriter - Facultative Casualty to start immediately on a permanent full-time basis. You will handle Casualty, Liability and Financial Lines and work with cedants and brokers to develop the portfolio across MENA and international markets.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s degree (Master’s a plus), insurance qualifications (ACII/CPCU a plus), 5–7 years underwriting experience, and strong marketing, negotiation and

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university (Master’s degree is a plus).
• Professional qualification in insurance (ACII, CPCU) is a plus.
• 5 to 7 years’ experience in a similar underwriting role.
• Strong marketing, communication and negotiation skills.
• Excellent contact base and market understanding in the MENA region.
• Fluent in English and Arabic.

Job description

For our department General Retakaful Facultative we are seeking to appoint a Associate Underwriter - Facultative Casualty commencing immediately on a permanent, full-time basis.

• Responsible for the Casualty, Liability and Financial Lines.
• Promote and maintain excellent relationship with cedants and brokers.
• Take part in the design, evaluation, communication and execution of new business development strategies.
• Participate in seminars and conferences and provide training to business partners as assigned.
• Keeping updated of all developments in the market from all aspects, including technical changes, market capacity, rating levels, trends, etc., and the effect these factors have on the Company’s underwriting philosophy.

You come equipped with
