Job summary

Deutsche Post DHL Group is seeking a Flying Spanner Engineer to perform maintenance, repairs and on-flight technical support for the company’s aircraft. The role emphasizes high safety standards, on-time performance and detailed defect reporting across outstations and base operations.

You will ensure documentation, coordinate with MOC, and train junior mechanics as part of a structured international maintenance team in Bahrain.

Qualifications

Must have a minimum of 5 years’ aircraft maintenance experience.
Must be a licensed, certifying and company approved engineer on the principal types operated.
Must be able to communicate assertively, effectively and diplomatically with flight crew, flight dispatchers, ground handling personnel and senior management, as required.
Must be able to analyse and troubleshoot aircraft systems and engines utilising knowledge from manuals and practical experience.
Have completed a minimum of 18 months in the current role.

Responsibilities

Maintain highest possible dispatch reliability while considering aircraft serviceability factors.
Fly onboard the company aircraft and provide technical support at outstations.
Ensure maintenance is performed to the highest standards and in compliance with data.
Act as the flight's point of contact and brief the receiving engineer on issues.
Carry out walk-around inspections and report defects to the MOC/base.
