Job summary

DHL Express Bahrain seeks an experienced Flying Spanner Engineer to maintain, repair and alter aircraft, ensuring safety and high dispatch reliability. You will fly onboard, observe defects, and coordinate with MOC and line management to return aircraft to service.

The role requires a minimum of five years in aircraft maintenance, a licensed engineer certificate, and strong communication with flight crews and ground staff.

Qualifications

• Must have a minimum of 5 years’ aircraft maintenance experience.
• Must be licensed, certifying and company approved engineer on principal types.
• Ability to communicate assertively with flight crew and ground staff.
• Experience in troubleshooting aircraft systems and engines.
• Completed a minimum of 18 months in the current role.

Responsibilities

• Maintain high technical dispatch reliability and assess serviceability.
• Fly onboard and provide technical support at outstations.
• Ensure maintenance complies with applicable data and regulations.
• Brief receiving engineer on technical issues at arrival.
• Conduct detailed walk-around inspections down route.
• Coordinate with BAH MOC during defects and AOG events.
• Communicate safety and progress between shifts.
• Input aircraft Tech Log and work orders.
• Train mechanics and trainees on duties.
