Job summary

Havelock One seeks an experienced Electrical Engineer to lead interior fit-out and MEP projects. You will plan, execute, supervise, test, commission, and hand over electrical systems while ensuring compliance with specifications and safety standards.

You will coordinate with project managers, consultants, subcontractors, and site teams to deliver within budget and schedule, review drawings and BOQs, and support cost control and quality assurance throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 5–10 years of experience in electrical engineering.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in commercial or retail fit-out projects.
• Gulf experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and manage all electrical installation activities for fit-out projects.
• Review electrical drawings, specifications, BOQs, and shop drawings.
• Coordinate electrical works with architectural, civil, mechanical, and interior fit-out teams.
• Ensure compliance with project specs, local authority regulations, and electrical standards.
• Monitor project progress and ensure work is completed on schedule.
• Coordinate testing and commissioning activities of electrical systems.
• Prepare testing reports and commissioning documentation.
• Support final project handover to clients and consultants.
• Liaise with consultants, clients, contractors, and suppliers.
• Attend project coordination and progress meetings.

Thesuccessful candidate will be responsible for planning, execution, supervision,testing, commissioning, and handover of electrical systems while ensuringcompliance with project specifications, safety standards, and clientrequirements.

Key Responsibilities

Project Execution

• Superviseand manage all electrical installation activities for fit-out projects.
• Reviewelectrical drawings, specifications, BOQs, and shop drawings.
• Coordinateelectrical works with architectural, civil, mechanical, and interiorfit-out teams.
• Ensurecompliance with project specifications, local authority regulations, andelectrical standards.
• Monitorproject progress and ensure work is completed according to schedule.
• Superviseinstallation of:
• Smallpower systems
• Distributionboards (DBs)
• Cablecontainment systems
• Earthingand lightning protection systems
• Low-currentsystems (ELV)
• Ensurequality workmanship and adherence to approved shop drawings.
• Conductregular site inspections and quality checks.
• Coordinatetesting and commissioning activities of electrical systems.
• Verifyelectrical installations prior to inspections and handover.
• Preparetesting reports and commissioning documentation.
• Supportfinal project handover to clients and consultants.

Technical Coordination

• Liaisewith consultants, clients, contractors, and suppliers.
• Resolvetechnical issues and site challenges.
• Attendproject coordination and progress meetings.
• Reviewand approve material submittals and technical documentation.

Quantity & Cost Control

• Preparematerial take-offs and quantity calculations.
• Monitormaterial consumption and procurement requirements.
• Assistin preparing variation orders and cost estimates.
• Trackproject budgets and maintain cost control.

Health, Safety & Quality

• Ensurecompliance with HSE policies and site safety regulations.
• Conductrisk assessments and toolbox talks.

Required Qualifications

Education

• Bachelor'sDegree in Electrical Engineering.

Experience
