Job summary

Nass Group & Corporation is seeking an Electrical Draftsman to prepare and maintain electrical drawings for construction and engineering projects. The role involves creating detailed drawings, SLDs, and layouts, and ensuring conformance with project specs and local regulations.

You will collaborate with engineers and clients, revise drawings as needed, and support submissions for approvals. A diploma or certificate and 3+ years in drafting are required.

Qualifications

• Diploma or technical certificate in electrical engineering or drafting.
• Minimum 3 years' experience as an Electrical Draftsman on construction projects.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and other drafting software.
• Experience preparing electrical shop drawings and as-built drawings.
• GCC experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare electrical drawings, shop drawings, as-built drawings, and layouts.
• Develop electrical plans for power, lighting, earthing, and cables.
• Review sketches and designs to produce accurate drawings.
• Coordinate with engineers, teams, consultants, and clients on drawings.
• Prepare SLDs, schematics, panel layouts, and cable schedules.
• Revise drawings for site conditions and client comments.
• Maintain drawing registers and document control procedures.
• Prepare material take-offs from approved drawings.
• Ensure compliance with specs, regs, and standards.
• Support project teams with drafting and documentation.
• Assist in submitting packages for approvals.
• Maintain up-to-date records of drawings.

Job description

To prepare, modify, and maintain electrical drawings, shop drawings, layouts, and technical documentation for construction and engineering projects, ensuring compliance with project specifications, applicable standards, and client requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed electrical drawings, shop drawings, as-built drawings, and layouts using AutoCAD and other drafting software.
• Develop electrical plans for power distribution, lighting systems, earthing, cable routing, and ELV systems.
• Review engineering sketches, specifications, and design information to produce accurate technical drawings.
• Coordinate with engineers, project teams, consultants, and clients regarding drawing requirements and revisions.
• Prepare single-line diagrams (SLDs), schematic diagrams, panel layouts, and cable schedules.
• Revise drawings based on site conditions, design changes, and client comments.
• Maintain drawing registers and ensure proper document control procedures are followed.
• Prepare material take-offs and quantities from approved drawings when required.
• Ensure drawings comply with project specifications, local regulations, and industry standards.
• Support project execution teams with technical drafting and documentation requirements.
• Assist in preparing submission packages for consultant and client approvals.
• Maintain up-to-date records of approved and revised drawings.

• Minimum 3 years of experience as an Electrical Draftsman in construction, industrial, infrastructure, or engineering projects.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and other relevant drafting software.
• Experience preparing electrical shop drawings and as-built drawings.
• GCC experience is preferred.
