Duties and Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate all electrical installation and maintenance works within the MEP department.
- Interpret electrical schematics, construction drawings, and technical manuals to guide accurate site execution.
- Lead and manage a team of electricians and technicians to ensure timely and quality completion of project activities.
- Perform electrical testing, troubleshooting, fault rectification, and commissioning of systems, including HVAC electrical components.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant safety regulations, company standards, and local authority requirements.
- Ensure adherence to EWA and MOW regulations applicable to licensed electrical works.
- Liaise with project managers, engineers, consultants, and clients to ensure alignment with project objectives.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, inspections, and job site conditions.
- Provide on-site technical guidance and mentorship to junior electricians and technicians.
- Assist in planning manpower allocation and material requirements based on project scope and schedule.
- Conduct inspections and quality assurance checks on completed electrical installations.
- Ensure all works are carried out in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, and local authority approvals.
- Perform any other duties as assigned based on operational requirements.
Requirements
- Diploma in Electrical Engineering or a related technical field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical works, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or lead role within MEP projects.
- Proven hands‑on experience in MEP and HVAC-related electrical systems.
- Valid EWA Technician License is mandatory.
- Valid Wireman License is highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of local authority regulations, electrical codes, and safety standards.
