Job summary

Confidential in Bahrain seeks a Senior Commercial Manager to lead Pre-Contract & Tendering and Post-Contract & Commercial Management across projects in Bahrain. You will guide tender identification, preparation, subcontractor negotiations, and contract finalizations.

This role requires leadership of estimators and QS teams, strong knowledge of contracts and cost control, and experience with ERP and QS software. A solid grasp of Bahrain tendering and client requirements is essential.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Lead tender identification, review, preparation, and submission.
• Supervise PQ / Pre-Qualification documentation.
• Review tender reports, estimates, SORs, and commercial recommendations.
• Review and negotiate subcontractor and supplier quotations.
• Finalize tender exec summaries and quotations for Management approval.
• Coordinate with Management and internal teams to ensure competitive and timely submissions.
• Follow up on tender clarifications, negotiations, and outcomes.
• Assist in finalizing contracts and commercial terms for awarded projects.
• Lead contract negotiation and finalization with clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and business partners.
• Monitor contractual performance, commercial risks, budgets, and project profitability.
• Manage claims, variations, additional works, and contractual entitlements.
• Negotiate and finalize subcontract agreements, purchase orders, and work orders.
• Review commercial and financial data to identify cost-saving and margin-improvement opportunities.
• Manage commercial disputes and contractual issues.
• Support project and site teams on commercial and contractual matters.
• Attend meetings with clients, consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams.
• Prepare commercial reports, forecasts, risk assessments, and Management recommendations.
• Ensure effective commercial close-out of completed projects.

Pre-Contract & Tendering

• Lead tender identification, review, preparation, and submission.

Post-Contract & Commercial Management

Desired Candidate Profile

• Proven ability to lead and mentor Estimators and Quantity Surveyors.
• Strong knowledge of construction contracts, commercial practices, and project cost control.
• Excellent leadership, negotiation, analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• ERP systems and Estimation/QS software experience will be an advantage.
• Knowledge of the Bahrain construction market, tendering procedures, and client requirements will be an advantage.

COMPENSATION

• BD 2,500 – 3,500 per monthSalary will be offered based on qualifications, experience, and suitability for the position.
