Job summary

Thales is seeking a seasoned DevOps/SRE professional to support and optimize cloud-based services across AWS and GCP. You will implement automation, write IaC (Terraform/Helm), and review colleagues’ code while applying security best practices.

The role involves distributed teams, CI/CD, and large-scale production management. Ideal candidates have 5+ years in cloud architecture, Kubernetes orchestration, and experience with databases and microservices.

Qualifications

3+ years’ experience in deploying and supporting web-based applications.
Experience with DevOps and SRE methodologies.
3+ years’ experience with orchestration and automation tools (Helm charts, Ansible, Terraform, YAML, Python, JSON) and cloud services.
Experience with AI concepts and familiarity with AI tools.
Experience with GitHub/GitLab and CI/CD.
Understanding of change management, on-call rotations, uptime, etc.
Experience managing production systems at large scale.
3+ years’ experience with Kubernetes orchestration.
Experience with DBs (MySQL, Postgres, Mongo, Elastic Cloud).
5+ years’ experience with cloud/server architecture, REST APIs, microservices.
Adhere to security best practices from design to operations.
Experience with PaaS technologies (K8s, OpenShift).
Experience with IaC pipelines (Terraform).
Scripting in Bash, Python.
3+ years’ AWS or GCP experience.
Ability to work in distributed international teams.
Strong analytical skills and eagerness to learn.
Excellent communication across mediums.

Responsibilities

Support and troubleshoot applications to optimize cloud performance and reliability.
Implement automation and pipelines with high quality and standards.
Write infrastructure as code (Terraform, Helm) and review peers’ code.
