Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
• 5-7 years in platform engineering or related roles with 2 years in leadership.
• Experience delivering projects and managing cloud/on-prem infra.
• CI/CD tooling experience (Github Actions, GitLab CI).
• Observability tools such as New Relic or Grafana; IaC with Terraform.
• Scripting skills (Python/PowerShell/Bash) for automation.

Responsibilities

Job Summary:

The Manager - System Operations (Platform Engineering) will lead a team responsible for designing, implementing, and managing scalable infrastructure. This role involves developing CI/CD pipelines, managing observability tools, and automating resources using Infrastructure as Code. The manager will ensure system availability, security, and compliance, troubleshoot technical issues, and stay updated with industry trends.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the design, implementation, and management of scalable, secure, and resilient infrastructure across multi-cloud and on-premise environments.
• Oversee the development and maintenance of CI/CD pipelines to automate the deployment and scaling of applications and infrastructure.
• Implement and manage observability tools to monitor system performance, detect anomalies, and ensure high availability.
• Utilize Infrastructure as Code to automate the provisioning and management of resources.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and implement best practices for system architecture, security, and compliance.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to infrastructure, applications, and services.
• Stay updated with industry trends and emerging technologies to maintain efficient infrastructure.

Qualifications/ Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 5-7 years of experience in platform engineering, system administration, or a related role, with at least 2 years in a leadership position.
• Experience in managing and delivering projects.
• Expertise in Cloud Services (AWS and Azure) and on-premise infrastructure management.
• Experience with CI/CD tools such as Github Actions, GitLab CI, or similar.
• Proficiency in observability tools like New Relic, Grafana, or similar.
• Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code, preferably Terraform.
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, PowerShell, or Bash for automation and task management.
• Understanding of system, security, and compliance best practices.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
