Job summary

Gulf Air Group seeks a Manager - System Operations (Platform Engineering) to lead a team responsible for scalable infrastructure in IT. You will architect, implement, and run multi-cloud and on‑premise systems, pipelines, and observability, while mentoring staff and ensuring security and compliance.

Responsibilities include automating resources with IaC, troubleshooting complex issues, and staying current with industry trends to drive innovation across platforms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
• 5-7 years in platform engineering or related roles with 2 years in leadership.
• Experience delivering projects and managing cloud/on-prem infra.
• CI/CD tooling experience (Github Actions, GitLab CI).
• Observability tools such as New Relic or Grafana; IaC with Terraform.
• Scripting skills (Python/PowerShell/Bash) for automation.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, implementation and management of scalable, secure infra across multi-cloud and on-prem.
• Oversee CI/CD pipelines to automate deployment and scaling.
• Implement observability tools to monitor performance and availability.
• Use IaC to automate provisioning and management of resources.
• Collaborate to define best practices for architecture, security, and compliance.
• Troubleshoot infra, apps, and services issues.
• Mentor team members and drive continuous improvement.
