Job summary

Gulf Air in Bahrain seeks a Manager Technical Economics & Contracts to negotiate and administer contracts for aircraft maintenance, engines, and spares, and to perform thorough economic evaluations of bids and commercial terms. The role also involves monitoring costs and coordinating with MROs to ensure performance and value.

The incumbent will lead in economics and commercial aspects across lease and purchase considerations, ensuring alignment with technical and financial goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Aviation Management, Finance, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related discipline.
• A professional degree level qualification from a reputed Institution such as CPA, ACCA (Additional qualification such as CIA will be an advantage).

Responsibilities

• Negotiate and administer technical contractual agreements for the maintenance of Gulf Air aircraft and for repair/overhaul of engines and components.
• Analyze contracts for operational and economic impacts to finalise the most optimum deal for the Technical Services department.
• Administer contracts, maintain liaison with MROs to ensure performance standards, and monitor commercial terms.
• Carry out full economic evaluation in coordination with divisional controllers and finalize commercial terms.
• Monitor internal costs of in-house maintenance and advise on cost-saving opportunities.

Education

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Aviation Management, Finance, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related discipline

CPA, ACCA (Additional qualification such as CIA will be an advantage)
