Cronos Group in Belgium is seeking a seasoned System Administrator/DevOps engineer to oversee large-scale web platforms and supporting apps, focusing on stability, security, and performance across multilingual environments.

You will work with Infrastructure, Cloud, DevOps, and Security teams to deploy, monitor, and maintain cloud-based environments, ensuring high availability and compliance with standards; you will manage deployments, upgrades, and incident response.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS, IT, Engineering or related field.
• Proven experience as System Administrator, Web Administrator, or DevOps Engineer.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work in multicultural international environments.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Fluency in English; additional European languages are a plus.

Responsabilités

• Configure, administer, and maintain web environments and supporting infrastructure.
• Manage virtual servers and support automation initiatives to improve operational efficiency.
• Deploy, monitor, and maintain cloud-based environments (AWS/Azure).
• Ensure security, availability, and reliability of web systems.
• Implement backup strategies, disaster recovery procedures, and docs.
• Collaborate with DevSecOps, cloud, and infrastructure teams.

You will join a dynamic team responsible for the administration, implementation, and operational management of large-scale web platforms and supporting applications. You will contribute to the stability, security, and continuous improvement of multilingual web environments used by a major European Institution.

Working closely with infrastructure, cloud, DevOps, and security teams, you will support the deployment and maintenance of modern web solutions while ensuring high availability, performance, and compliance with operational standards.

Responsibilities

• Configure, administer, and maintain web environments and supporting infrastructure.
• Manage virtual servers and support automation initiatives to improve operational efficiency.
• Deploy, monitor, and maintain cloud-based environments, including AWS and Azure.
• Ensure the security, availability, and reliability of web systems and platforms.
• Implement backup strategies, disaster recovery procedures, and operational documentation.
• Collaborate with DevSecOps, cloud, and infrastructure teams to ensure alignment with organizational standards.
• Manage software deployment lifecycles and support release management activities.
• Execute platform upgrades, migrations, and modernization initiatives.
• Monitor system performance and troubleshoot incidents and operational issues.
• Work with IT service management processes and tools such as ServiceNow.

Technical Skills

• Strong experience administering web servers such as Apache, NGINX, and Tomcat.
• Solid experience with cloud platforms, particularly AWS and Azure.
• Strong knowledge of Linux/UNIX operating systems.
• Good understanding of networking concepts and TCP/IP protocols.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation tools.
• Experience with TeamCity or similar build and deployment solutions.
• Knowledge of infrastructure automation using Ansible.
• Experience in incident management and operational support.
• Understanding of system security, monitoring, and disaster recovery practices.

Profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a System Administrator, Web Administrator, DevOps Engineer, or similar role.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively in multicultural and international environments.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work autonomously while contributing to team objectives.
• Proactive mindset with a strong focus on service quality and continuous improvement.
• Fluency in English is required; additional European languages are considered an asset.
