DESOTEC is seeking a Waste Operations Receptionist to ensure smooth reception and administrative processing of waste transports, goods, and visitors at our site. You will be the central contact point and ensure compliance with safety and procedures.

You will verify documentation, enter data into Microsoft Dynamics, and perform paperwork both digitally and on paper. Fluency in Dutch, English and French is required; a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience is expected.

• Fluent in Dutch, English and French (written and spoken).
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and ERP systems.

Responsabilités

• Serve as the first point of contact for drivers, visitors and service personnel arriving on site.
• Conduct access control and register visitors ensuring safety procedures are communicated.
• Verify documentation for incoming waste transports and record information in the ERP system.
• Handle related administrative tasks digitally and on paper, escalating issues to maintain operations.

Your tasks & responsibilities?

As Waste Operations Receptionist, you ensure a smooth reception and administrative processing of incoming waste transports, goods and visitors. You are the central point of contact at the site entrance and help ensure that all activities comply with applicable procedures and safety requirements.

• You act as the first point of contact for internal and external drivers, parcel services, contractors, technicians, emergency services and other visitors arriving on site and accompany them to the appropriate person or location.


• You perform access control, register visitors correctly and ensure they are informed about the site's safety regulations and access procedures.


• You verify whether all required documentation, registrations and transport documents for incoming waste transports are complete and compliant, and register important information in our ERP system (Microsoft Dynamics).


• You ensure the correct and timely processing of all related administrative tasks, both digitally and on paper. You proactively investigate missing, incomplete or incorrect information, request the necessary documentation from the relevant parties and elevate issues when required to ensure operational continuity and compliance.

• You work accurately and independently, with a strong focus on quality, safety, and adherence to procedures. You also function effectively as part of a team, with colleagues supporting each other during peak moments at reception.


• You are an organized and service-oriented professional who enjoys administrative work and interacting with a wide range of people.


• You are communicative and able to remain calm and professional under pressure.


• You hold a bachelor's degree or have acquired an equivalent level through experience.


• You communicate fluently in Dutch, English and French, both verbally and in writing. Knowledge of additional languages is considered an asset.


• You are comfortable working with software applications such as Microsoft Office and ERP systems.


• You are available to begin work at 7:00 a.m. every workday.
