B.E.S. (Business and Engineering Solutions) is seeking a Machine Learning Engineer with a focus on Vision Language Models (VLMs) to coordinate, define and execute CV/ML research within the automotive sector in Belgium.

You will implement algorithms in Python, work on VLMs, explore literature, and develop deep learning models for real-world robotic applications, including multi-object detection and 6D pose estimation, with field tests and demonstrations.

Qualifications

• PhD or Master’s degree with a strong research focus in Computer Vision, Machine Learning, Robotics or related fields.
• Strong experience in computer vision and Machine Learning, including both classical and modern approaches.
• Experience with Vision Language Models (VLM).
• Proficiency in Python and/or C++, PyTorch, OpenCV and TorchVision.
• Fluency in English (written and spoken).

Responsibilities

• Implement algorithms in Python and maintain the current code repository. Prepare code for releases.
• Work mainly on Vision Language Models (VLMs).
• Explore, evaluate and implement algorithms from scientific literature.
• Develop and deploy deep learning models for real-world applications.
• Work on topics such as multi-object detection and 6D pose estimation.
• Create and support demonstrations using real robotic systems and prepare field tests.
• Report findings during project meetings and contribute to scientific publications.
