Zurich Insurance Belgium invites applications for a Traineeship Insurance Administrator in Zaventem. Over one year, you rotate through three sub-teams—Domestic, International and European—gaining end-to-end underwriting administration experience.

You’ll learn data collection, policy drafting, invoicing, and cross-department collaboration to serve clients and brokers. We seek graduates with a Bachelor or Master degree, fluent English (plus Dutch and/or French), and up to two years’ experience;

• Bachelor or Master degree or equivalent.
• Max 2 years of work experience.
• Knowledge of insurance is a plus but not required.
• Analytical, detail oriented and strong with numbers.
• Service oriented with proactive attitude.

Responsabilités

• Collecting data and drawing up policies & endorsements.
• Processing financial data and issuing invoices.
• Working closely with departments to serve customers and brokers.
• Coordinating international insurance programs for large Belgian multinationals.
• Identifying process improvements and presenting them to the team.

We are now looking for a trainee to join our Underwriting Services (UWS) department in Belgium, Zaventem.

Traineeship overview

The UWS department is crucial to our company. After an insurance deal is closed, the department takes care of all the administration from A to Z. Within about 1 year, you will be fully immersed in the Underwriting Services department. You get to do 3 rotations in 3 different sub-teams (Domestic, International and European team), each with their own specialization. You’ll get the opportunity to discover your strengths, and we will provide an environment where you can develop your professional skills.

Your responsibilities:

• Collecting data and drawing up policies & endorsements
• Processing financial data and issuing invoices
• Working closely with different departments and providing the right service to customers and insurance brokers
• Coordinating international insurance programs for large Belgian multinationals
• Continuously looking at how processes can be improved, which you present to your team

About you:

• In addition to Dutch and/or French, you also speak excellent English (reading & writing)
• You have recently obtained a Bachelor or Master degree or equivalent (“graduaat”)
• You have a maximum of 2 years of work experience and want to take on a new challenge. Knowledge of the insurance sector is a plus, but certainly not a requirement.
• You are analytically strong, detail oriented and work well with numbers.
• You are service-oriented and proactive, you go the extra mile and have a can-do mentality.
