Cloud Power Luxembourg is seeking an experienced Test Automation Engineer to join a strategic Life Insurance environment in Brussels Centre. The role focuses on developing and maintaining automated tests, executing campaigns, and collaborating across Testing, IT and Business teams.

You will work with OpenText UFT, VBScript, and Hybrid Frameworks to ensure reliable test automation and governance in a structured enterprise setting.

Qualifications

• ISTQB Foundation certified is required.
• Hands-on OpenText UFT experience for test automation and maintenance.
• HP ALM experience including cycles, test suites and test execution planning.
• Proficient in VBScript and using Hybrid Test Automation Frameworks.
• Experience with Azure DevOps / VSTS.

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Test Automation Engineer to join a strategic IS Life environment and contribute to the quality and reliability of business-critical applications and test environments.

You will be responsible for developing and maintaining automated test scripts, executing test campaigns, identifying and tracking defects, and collaborating closely with Testing, IT and Business teams to ensure high-quality deliveries.

This is an excellent opportunity for a QA professional who enjoys test automation, continuous improvement and working in a structured enterprise environment.

Your responsibilities

• Develop, execute and maintain automated test scripts using OpenText UFT
• Optimize existing object repositories and automated test scripts
• Work with VBScript and Hybrid Frameworks (data-driven & keyword-driven)
• Manage and maintain test assets to ensure long-term reliability and reusability
• Use HP ALM for test cycle management, test suite creation and updates, and test execution planning
• Analyze test results and distinguish between script maintenance issues and genuine defects
• Identify, document and follow up on defects through to resolution
• Contribute to improving testing efficiency, quality and governance
• Collaborate with Testing Teams, IT teams, Business stakeholders and Management
• Support continuous improvement and alignment of testing practices

Required skills

Mandatory:

• Solid functional understanding of software testing
• ISTQB Foundation certification
• OpenText UFT – hands-on experience with test automation and script maintenance
• HP ALM – experience with Cycles, test suites and test execution planning
• VBScript
• Experience with Hybrid Test Automation Frameworks
• Azure DevOps / VSTS
• Strong analytical and logical mindset

Nice to have:

• Power BI – junior-level experience, including understanding of report structures, data refresh and data maintenance
• Knowledge of insurance / Life Insurance
