About the role

As Senior Test Manager, you will be responsible for leading and shaping the testing and quality strategy for our clients. You will combine management, consultancy, and hands‑on automation expertise to ensure that applications are delivered in a scalable, stable, and high‑quality manner.

You will coach teams, advise stakeholders, and develop advanced test automation frameworks with an eye for efficiency and best practices. This role is perfect for someone who wants to operate both strategically and technically.

Your responsibilities

Leading test teams and ensuring optimal resource planning

Developing and implementing test strategies and QA governance for clients

Advising clients on test automation, test processes, and quality requirements

Monitoring end‑to‑end quality across all layers of the stack (frontend, backend, APIs)

Contributing hands‑on to test automation and CI/CD integration

Identifying risks and bottlenecks and proactively proposing solutions

Coaching mid‑level and junior testers in technical and process‑related skills

Reporting test results and progress to management and stakeholders

Contribute to the further professionalization of testing and QA practices within the consulting firm

Your profile

7+ years of experience in software testing, including at least 3 years in a managerial role

Strong experience in test automation and CI/CD integration

Thorough knowledge of QA best practices, test methodologies, and test tools

Hands‑on experience with automation frameworks such as Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, REST‑assured, Postman, etc.

Technical background in web, backend, and API testing

Experience in consulting or customer‑focused project environments

Excellent communication and analytical skills

Fluent in Dutch and professional English

Nice to have

Experience with performance, security, or accessibility testing

Knowledge of cloud, containerization, and DevOps principles (Docker, Kubernetes, AWS/Azure)

ISTQB Advanced Test Manager or similar certification

Experience with pre‑sales, workshops, or internal test communities
