Wlgroup is seeking a candidate to help identify and catalogue emerging technologies, assess adoption opportunities, and promote experimentation within a defence innovation context. The role requires analytical work on technology documentation and building practical adoption examples.

You will contribute to the knowledge base and work within the innovation branch to align with multi-domain force development. Fluent English is required. A long-term engagement with renewal is offered.

Qualifications

• At least two years acquiring, assembling and interpreting research and technology information.
• Knowledge of national science and technology sources.
• Experience judging how future technology applies in a military environment.
• Ability to work analytically on technology documentation and build practical adoption examples.
• Comfortable with open-source research.

A multinational defence organisation needs sustained analytical capacity on emerging and disruptive technologies. This role provides it — cataloguing, assessing and advising, inside the innovation branch.

What you would be doing

What you would bring

• A bachelor degree from a recognised university in computer science, information and communication technology, engineering or a related discipline.
• At least two years acquiring, assembling and interpreting research and technology information.
• Knowledge of national science and technology sources.
• Experience judging how future technology applies in a military environment.
• The ability to work analytically on technology documentation and build practical adoption examples.
• Comfortable with office tooling and open-source research.
• Fluent professional English.

This is a long engagement that renews year on year, not a short project.
