Wlgroup is seeking a role based in Norfolk, USA, with relocation supported and NATO-5 visa provided. The position focuses on sustaining analytical capacity to catalogue, assess, and advise on emerging and disruptive technologies within the innovation branch of a multinational defence organisation.

You will identify new technologies, assess adoption opportunities, and promote experimentation in realistic environments while feeding forward the science and technology program of work and defence

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information and communication technology, engineering or a related discipline.
• At least two years acquiring, assembling and interpreting research and technology information.
• Knowledge of national science and technology sources.
• Experience judging how future technology applies in a military environment.
• Ability to work analytically on technology documentation and build practical adoption examples.
• Comfortable with office tooling and open-source research.
• Fluent professional English.

Responsabilités

• Identify new emerging technologies and catalogue existing ones.
• Assess implications and adoption opportunities on a continuing basis.
• Promote experimentation with technology-based solutions in realistic environments.
• Feed the science and technology programme of work and the foresight and defence planning strands it supports.
• Identify capability shortfalls that adoption would close, from planning products and lessons.
• Educate staff on opportunities and risks.
• Run the knowledge base showing the current state of adoption.
• Work as part of the innovation branch under multi-domain force development.
