Job summary

Verhaert | On-site Consulting is seeking a hands-on Technical Validation & Test Engineer to own and automate functional and parametric tests in the lab. You will bridge design expectations with real silicon performance and collaborate with internal teams and external test providers.

You will design test benches, execute test routines, analyze data, and deliver structured, actionable reports, while coordinating with external test houses and ensuring project timelines in an international setup.

Qualifications

• Hands-on IC/electronic system testing experience.
• Proficient in Python, MATLAB or similar automation frameworks.
• Experience with Automated Test Equipment (ATE) and silicon test methodologies.
• Knowledge of PMICs and voltage regulators is a plus.
• Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration.

Job description

To support our client's IC validation roadmap, we are looking for a hands-on and pragmatic Technical Validation & Test Engineer. In this assignment, you will take ownership of setting up, automating, and executing functional and parametric tests in the laboratory. You will bridge the gap between design expectations and real-world silicon performance, collaborating closely with internal technical teams and external test service providers.

Key Responsibilities

• Test Bench Architecture & Setup: Design, set up, and debug advanced chip test benches - including instrumentation, PCB test fixtures, cabling, power supplies, and automated measurement scripts.
• Silicon Validation & Data Analysis: Execute functional and parametric test routines according to the validation plan. Analyze measurement data, trace anomalies, and correlate lab findings with design models.
• Impactful Reporting: Deliver structured, data-driven test reports featuring clear plots, actionable insights, pass/fail analysis, and concrete technical recommendations.
• Test House Coordination: Direct the interaction with external test houses - managing requirements, implementation, data exchange, issue tracking, and schedule alignment.

Your Profile

• Hands-on Microelectronics Expertise: Proven track record in IC/electronic system testing, PCB-based validation setups, and structured data analysis. You thrive in a hands-on lab environment.
• Automated Testing & Scripting: Strong proficiency in Python, MATLAB, or similar automation frameworks.
• ATE & IC Testing: Mandatory experience with Automated Test Equipment (ATE) and silicon test methodologies.
• Domain Knowledge: Relevant experience with PMICs and voltage regulators is a strong advantage.
• Mindset & Communication: Pragmatic, self-driven, and highly accurate. Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively within cross-functional, international teams and external partners.
