Job summary

Greif, Inc. seeks a Technical Team Leader at its Gent plant to lead a team of technicians in a two-shift operation (5:00–13:00 and 13:00–21:00) and to support the Maintenance Manager and production.

You will organize interventions during breakdowns, plan preventive maintenance, and drive safety, energy efficiency and quality improvements according to the Zero Harm philosophy. Fluency in Dutch and English is required.

Qualifications

Bachelor in electromechanics, industrial automation or electronics.
Experience in a maintenance department in a production environment.
Knowledge of mechanics, hydraulics, industrial automation and controls (PLC, frequency drives, motors).
Strong diagnostic and solution-oriented mindset.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to coach and motivate staff.
Willingness to work in a two-shift system (5u-13u, 13u-21u).
Fluency in Dutch and English.

Responsibilities

Lead, coach and motivate a team of technicians.
Provide technical support and actively participate in executing tasks.
Organize and perform interventions during breakdowns and minor stops.
Plan and monitor preventive maintenance.
Organize staffing in coordination with the Maintenance Manager.
Monitor machine alarm reports and feedback actions.
Develop and implement improvement projects on safety, energy, efficiency and quality.
Work according to the Zero Harm philosophy and ensure safety and quality instructions.
