Job summary

Greif, Inc. seeks a Technical Team Leader at its Gent plant to lead a team of technicians in a two-shift operation (5:00–13:00 and 13:00–21:00) and to support the Maintenance Manager and production.

You will organize interventions during breakdowns, plan preventive maintenance, and drive safety, energy efficiency and quality improvements according to the Zero Harm philosophy. Fluency in Dutch and English is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor in electromechanics, industrial automation or electronics.
• Experience in a maintenance department in a production environment.
• Knowledge of mechanics, hydraulics, industrial automation and controls (PLC, frequency drives, motors).
• Strong diagnostic and solution-oriented mindset.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to coach and motivate staff.
• Willingness to work in a two-shift system (5u-13u, 13u-21u).
• Fluency in Dutch and English.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach and motivate a team of technicians.

• Plan and monitor preventive maintenance.
• Organize staffing in coordination with the Maintenance Manager.
• Monitor machine alarm reports and feedback actions.
• Develop and implement improvement projects on safety, energy, efficiency and quality.
• Work according to the Zero Harm philosophy and ensure safety and quality instructions.

Job Description: Functie: Als Technical Team Leader in onze plant in Gent werk je in een 2-ploegenstelsel en ondersteun je de Maintenance Manager en de productieafdeling. Je bent verantwoordelijk voor:

• Het aansturen, coachen en motiveren van een team van techniekers.
• Het bieden van technische ondersteuning en actief meewerken bij uitvoerende taken.
• Het organiseren en uitvoeren van interventies bij breakdowns en "minor stops".
• Het plannen en opvolgen van preventief onderhoud.
• Het organiseren van de personeelsbezetting in samenspraak met de Maintenance Manager.
• Het opvolgen van machinemeldingsrapporten en terugkoppeling van bevindingen/acties.
• Het uitwerken en implementeren van verbeterprojecten op het vlak van veiligheid, energie, efficiëntie en kwaliteit.
• Het werken volgens de Zero Harm filosofie en nauwlettend toezien op veiligheids- en kwaliteitsinstructies.

Competenties:

• Technische kennis: Bachelor in elektromechanica, bedrijfsautomatisatie of elektronica of gelijkwaardig door ervaring.
• Ervaring binnen een onderhoudsafdeling in een productieomgeving.
• Kennis van mechanica, hydraulica, industriële automatisatie en sturingen (PLC, frequentieregelingen, motoren).
• Sterke probleemanalyse en oplossingsgerichtheid.
• Communicatief sterk en een teamspeler die openheid en eerlijkheid belangrijk vindt.
• Vermogen om medewerkers te coachen en motiveren en hen te begeleiden bij het behalen van doelstellingen.
• Bereidheid om te werken in een 2-ploegensysteem (5u-13u, 13u-21u).
• Goede beheersing van Nederlands en Engels.
