BESIX is seeking a Technical Manager - Energy Storage and PV Generation in Belgium. You will lead technical reviews, planning, engineering, procurement and start-up of PV and BESS projects, coordinating with clients, contractors and internal teams.

You will ensure regulatory compliance, feasibility analysis and successful project delivery across Europe, with frequent collaboration with the BESIX Power Director and finance/legal teams.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in project management for energy storage/generation or electrical systems.
• In-depth knowledge of PV and BESS technologies, power converters and grid architectures.
• Knowledge of current regulations and standards for energy storage.
• Track record delivering small- to medium-scale energy generation projects (EPC or multi-lot).
• Excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills; ability to influence stakeholders.
• Entrepreneurial spirit with initiative, ownership and results orientation.
• Willingness to travel within Europe; on-site presence as required.

Responsabilités

• Collect regular capex/opex estimates to support project development and acquisition decisions.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, environmental requirements and HSE policies.
• Collaborate closely with BESIX Power Director and project teams across development, finance and legal.

About BESIX Power

As part of BESIX Invest, BESIX Power is an impactful player in the renewable energy sector by developing, acquiring and financing renewable projects across selected European markets such as Belgium, France, Italy, Poland and Greece. In the context of its growing activities, BESIX Power is looking for a Technical Manager - Energy Storage and PV Generation directly reporting to the BESIX Power Director.

• You play a central role in the technical review, the planning, engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and start-up of small to large-scale PV and BESS projects.
• You oversee the analysis of specifications and oversight of technical feasibility studies for PV and BESS projects, reviewing the design and implementation of projects.
• You recommend and validate the sizing of energy storage systems and PV plans and their integration into power grids.
• You act as the primary technical project interface between clients, contractors, suppliers, and internal stakeholders in DBOO (Design, Build, Own & Operate) projects.
• You collect regular capex/opex estimates to assist decision making for projects development and acquisition.
• Ensure compliance with applicable industry standards, regulations, environmental requirements, and HSE policies.
• You work closely with the Director of BESIX Power and all team members active in project development, finance and legal functions.

• Engineering degree or master’s degree in electrical engineering, renewable energy or related technical discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of hands‑on experience in Project Management related to energy storage/generation or electrical systems.
• In-depth knowledge of PV and BESS technologies, power converters, and grid architectures within the energy, power generation, or industrial infrastructure sector.
• Knowledge of current regulations and standards in the field of energy storage.
• Proven track record of successfully delivering small- to medium-scale energy generation projects with strong knowledge in EPC and/or multi-lot project execution is a plus.
• Excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and build relationships across internal and external stakeholders.
• Strong entrepreneurial spirit, combining initiative, ownership, and a results-oriented attitude.
• Natural aptitude for working oneself, and ensuring that others work under safe conditions, while respecting social and environmental regulation.
• Fluent in English. Knowledge of French/Dutch is a plus.
• Willingness to travel within Europe for shorter periods of time with on‑site presence depending on project phase.
